We have concrete!

Here are some photos from today. We still have 5 days before we can drive on it. Thankfully we have great neighbors that are letting us park in their driveway.

Day 1

The demolition of the driveway began this morning. Here are some photos from day 1.

Up next on our list of renovations is replacing our cracked up driveway. We will also be increasing the width of the driveway from about 9 feet to 12.5 feet,  adding a large slab outside our back door and replacing the walkway to the house.

We've been getting quotes over the past couple of months and we have settled on a company to perform the work. The project is set to begin on January 30th.

Blogging Absence and Final Photos

We're going to re-title our blog  "Brown Renovations". Here are the much delayed final photos of the kitchen renovation. Stay tuned for more posts about other projects we have been working on or that we are planning to tackle in the near future!

Pantry and Refrigerator Cabinet

This week Bob worked on our built in pantry and the cabinet above the refrigerator. We're getting excited about everything.

End in Sight!

The past few days have been exciting. We now have a working dishwasher, working range, tile backsplash, under cabinet lights, and hardware on all of our drawers and doors.

We had a small set-back after our replacement hood arrived. It was damaged and the wrong model, so a new one has been shipped out and we are hoping the third time will be a charm.

Water!!

We've been without a kitchen sink since January 24th and I'm so excited to say that today we got our sink back! Bob also drilled the holes for all of our cabinet knobs. The countertop people came back to level out the marble on the island as well. We had some fun putting our dishes, glasses and crystal in our cabinets.
